Bluestones Staffing is working with a leading menswear brand company in Carrickfergus. Due to the growth of the business, they have requirements for temporary ongoing Clothing Presser.

Location: Carrickfergus

Duration: Full-time, temporary ongoing

Days of work: Monday - Friday

Hours of work: 8am-5pm

Rate: £11.00

Job Overview:

Providing a supporting technical role to the buying teams with direct responsibility for ensuring a high-quality standard is maintained. The successful candidate will require an in-depth knowledge of garment construction and garment quality control.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Check specifications of suits, jackets, trousers, casuals against master specification to ensure that the products are within tolerance.

Reviewing existing policies and setting up solutions to improve quality systems.

Assessing and rating suppliers, reviewing and updating quality control and assurance policies.

Check cloth compositions, general look of garment, flaws, pressing etc.

Repair damaged product and carry out pressing activities on garments.

Check supplier specifications against master specifications and pattern to ensure consistency.

Check product compositions, visual inspection of product.

Check that product documentation, labelling & ticketing are correct.

Check damages sent by suppliers and ensure cost to repair is invoiced to the supplier. Compile a report on each supplier factory for each delivery.

Keeping up to date with technical knowledge along with legislation and quality control standards.

Working with in-house design and sales teams, buyers and quality control department

The ideal candidate would have garment background good eye for detail.
