Job Description
We are a small, friendly finance team working for a highly regarded company within the hospitality industry. This is a full-time position based in our Wokingham office.
- We are looking for someone with general reconciliation and purchase ledger experience to work full-time as our Experienced Accounts Clerk. The two key elements of your role will be the smooth handling of data processing, ensuring that all invoices are handled accurately and assisting with month-end reconciliations of supplier accounts. In addition, you will be analysing and reconciling weekly revenue reports from our sites in order to process these into Sage.
Main Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger. This will include processing invoices after seeking approval from the relevant managers, liaising with suppliers and the reconciliation of supplier accounts
- You will prepare weekly payment runs and process these through our online banking software
- You will be responsible for checking the weekly sales reports from our sites, reconciling them to the bank accounts and processing the sales figures onto Sage.
- You will process all bank transactions onto sage
- You will be required to deal with the general emails and correspondence for the department
- You will work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure that all financial records are up to date and accurate.
Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in a purchase ledger role for at least 2 years and able to work with limited supervision.
- Experience with an accounting package is essential. Sage 50 experience would be beneficial.
- Qualifications eg AAT would be preferred.
- Enjoy working with people and be able to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word packages including Excel, Word and Gmail is essential.
- Able to work accurately, with good attention to detail.
- Must be willing to assist with other tasks in the company such as general office administration, and assisting company management as and when required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
