Beyond the Streets is a small charity with a big determination to see routes out for women in prostitution in the UK. Taking a woman-centred approach, the role of Women’s Support Worker is to provide direct support and care co-ordination for women with complex needs who want support or to exit street-based prostitution. We are looking for people with experience of working with vulnerable adults; people who have a highly developed sense of self-awareness, independent thinking, and who can work in a gender and trauma informed way. Alongside this, we seek someone with energy, self-motivation, and a passion for the cause. We have a full-time roles available, based at the Door of Hope project, East London, which fulfils the London Borough of Tower Hamlets council funded ‘Prostitution Support Programme’.

We genuinely seek to work as a team and ensure that no one is ‘rescuing’ or working outside their allocated hours. You will be joining a growing team at Beyond the Streets. We currently have 16 members of staff, with a mix of full-time and part-time working patterns. The role will be based at our East London office.

Location: Tower Hamlets, East London

Hours: 35 hours per week, including outreach outside of office hours

Leave: 25 days, plus Bank Holidays (F.T.E)

Salary: 29,500-31,000 (Includes London Weighting)

Line Manager: Door of Hope Manager

Pension: 5% Employer Contribution, 3% Employee Contribution

Duration: 2-year Fixed Term Contract (with possibility of contract extension thereafter)
