Who we are

Bethell are a Manchester based civil engineering and utility services group, Bethell, is continuing its major expansion plans in 2022 and 2023, targeting a strengthening of its workforce by up to 20%. Bethell, which has operated in the Northwest for over 150 years, has a significant number of framework contracts with the Utility sector, Local Authorities and key infrastructure clients.

We want to know about you!

We are looking for a buyer with knowledge and experience of construction and civil engineering supply chains with a can-do attitude; who can hit the ground running. Someone who can work with a team and create a great working atmosphere while at the same time being focussed on tasks and deadlines set on a daily basis. A person with CIPS level 4 or working towards accreditation would be a perfect fit for the role, but this isn't mandatory. We will also be happy with an experience-led career.

As our buyer you will be part of a buying function to every aspect of the Group, sourcing and negotiating best value construction and civil engineering-based materials for our projects. You will be able to drive and direct critical activities to ensure that delivery of contracted products and services are defined and adhered to by our supply chain and partners.

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
