Despatch & Intake Operatives
£10.50phr
3 on 3 off shift available 1pm – 1am
Job Purpose:
Smooth function of Intake/despatch ensuring all finish goods leaving despatch are within specification and are safely picked/loaded onto lorries. Unloading/put away equipment deliveries safely ensuring enough equipment available for production.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible to ensure sufficient equipment (pallets, trays etc.) available for production
- Responsible for checking the quality/temperature and quantity of all goods despatching against order.
- Responsible for manually logging information of checks onto relevant paperwork as required.
- Responsible for order picking and scanning.
- Responsible for the allocation of products into the correct orders and ensure stock rotation is adhered to.
- To report on any short life products/stock.
- To report any product in despatch without labels.
- To report any waste in the area.
- Prepare company shop/downgrades pallets for out load.
- To maintain an excellent standard of hygiene and housekeeping by working to good manufacturing practices.
- Responsible for the Health and Safety of self and of others who may be affected by their actions.
- To adhere to all Company and Site policies and procedures (i.e. Health and Safety, Hygiene, Disciplinary, Absence, Housekeeping etc).
- Flexibility to cover all other roles within despatch area.
Communication: Reporting Short life products in despatch, reporting missing labels products, inform Supervisor /Team leader of any temperature/quality/Health and safety issues/concerns. Communicate with Supervisor/production regarding service /chase issues.
Skills and Experience Required:
- PPT License (preffered but not essential)
- FLT license (preferred but not essential)
- Order picking and use of scanners
- Basic computer/Printer knowledge
- Able to work as Part of a Team
- Able to use own initiative
- Good level of Mathematics and English
- Flexibility to do overtime
