Bathing under the Sky is a small business in Toft next Newton, CB23 2TT. Our goal is to Bathing under the Sky ltd is a family-run business, based in Cambridgeshire, founded in 2010. Our main attractions are hand crafted Scandinavian-style wood-fired hot tubs and barrel saunas temporary installed in attractive outdoor locations such as woodlands, lakesides, beaches... In 2018 we secured planning permission to create our first permanent outdoor wellbeing & recreation facility called PAUS in Bourn near Cambridge, which is already proving to be popular among the local clientele and guests from further afield.

While fully respecting the nature which surrounds us, we aim to create a low-tech outdoor venue offering simple open-air activities which promote healthy lifestyles with a positive impact on reducing health problems of the modern societies such as stress, obesity, anxiety and depression. Our Hilltop Bistro offers only freshly prepared dishes cooked at the premises; We passionately believe in Farm-to-Fork concept, using produce from our own organic-standard garden, aiming for self-efficiency in the foreseen future. .

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team and help with food preparation and kitchen maintenance. A passion for food, attention to detail, the desire to learn and a positive attitude are all essential.

Full training will be given so the role may suit someone wishing to return to the trade or someone wanting to enter the profession.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assisting the Head Chef with simple chef-ing tasks whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order in the kitchen.
* Assisting the Head Chef in the production of all menu items during prep ensuring quality and consistency
* Assisting the Head Chef during service with simple cooking and plating, following Head Chef's guidance to meet standards
* Washing up dishes and cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, and pans
* Ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy and conforming to high standards of health and safety and hygiene.
* Undertaking any reasonable duties as instructed by the Head Chef that are within your skills and capabilities.
* We will be open to your ideas and suggestions related to sustainably prepared dishes but it is not essential.
*Experience in food decoration and garnishing is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.00-£12.50 per hour

Experience:

• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
• Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
