technical assistant

Azelis a supplier of raw materials has a position that has become available within its Pharmaceutical and Healthcare business for a Laboratory and Technical Assistant in our Hertford office on a 12 month fixed term contract. Applicants must have some practical experience of making finished Pharmaceutical forms, such as creams, gels, tablets and syrups and be interested in developing a knowledge of the Regulatory needs of the Pharmaceutical, Medical & Nutraceutical markets. A degree in Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic Sciences or Pharmaceutical Sciences would be advantageous.

Job Purpose

To physically conduct with instruction the creation of finished galenic forms, both from both blue sky and customer/principal lead laboratory applications projects. To support the Technical & Regulatory needs of the Pharma & Healthcare Business Unit.

Principal Accountabilities

Enacting applications projects producing finished forms from Formulations provided, for both customer/principal needs and also for blue sky purposes

Supporting the regulatory needs of our customers & Principals. Completing Technical & Regulatory questionnaires as needed.

Become technically competent in understanding the properties of the wide range of raw materials we sell and how they are used in different applications formats

Provide support to both the Sales & Principal Management teams as needed

Become base competent in the regulations guiding the Pharmaceutical, Medical & Nutraceutical Industries

Maintenance of good Health and Safety Procedures in the laboratory

Maintain the documentation library on the Portal
