We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Trainee Manufacturing PVC Production Operative who is hard working and flexible with strong communication skills and an excellent hands-on approach to their work.

Working as a Trainee Manufacturing PVC Production Operative you will be required to support operations through the manufacturing of PVC canopies ready for sewing.

As a Trainee Manufacturing PVC Production Operative you will support operations through provision of planned and scheduled maintenance services for various assets according to ISO9001: 2015 procedures.

DUTIES

Once fully trained your duties as a Trainee Manufacturing PVC Production Operative will include:

Ensuring that daily production and quality targets are met within the work area

Ensure that you follow all Health and Safety procedures and are flexible in your approach to training on various processes within the factory

Ensure that all process and equipment problems are communicated to the relevant Team Leader

Ensure effective control and usage of materials and minimise scrap

Ensure housekeeping duties are carried out and work area and machinery is kept at the agreed standard in line with ISO9001: 2015 procedures

Learn and perform the tasks required for the preparation of PVC production including:

Lifting PVC rolls onto rack, with assistance

Velcro PVC sides in preparation for sewing

Tacking windows in position with the use of a hot gun and roller

Using high frequency welding machine to finish weld the window

Cut out and trim excess material from clear PVC window and pass to sewing for final process

General housekeeping and preventative maintenance on machinery

Following the Production Operative-PVC Operative Trainee training:

Working with the Production Team Leader & RTA HR to develop and receive a training plan

Training includes areas such as cutting machine and welding control, ISO9001: 2015, maintenance, communication, IT, H&S etc

Control company assets including:
Keeping all assets clean

Assessment of additional tools, software and hardware to make Cutter/Welder-PVC

Operative Trainee more efficient and effective onsite

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential:
Excellent hands-on approach

Good standard of English is required

Punctual with good manners

Common sense & customer awareness

Team player that takes pride in work

Strong communication skills at all levels

Hard working and flexible

Desirable:
An interest in Manufacturing and Production

Previous experience using CNC cutter and HF Welders would be advantageous but not a prerequisite a full training will be provided

An interest in the Forklift truck industry is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided
