Assistant Underwriter – Salary up to £26,000.

A bit about the job:

Together, we'll be working towards providing a comprehensive service which aids our team of underwriters. This will include building a successful network of internal and external relationships; responding to a variety of enquiries and meeting high standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

Collaborating with our Trading Underwriter team in London to deliver end-to-end policy management for large, complex corporate risks.
Delivering business-important metrics alongside our management team.
Spotting and driving opportunities for operational improvements.
Acting on feedback from customers and sharing ideas with managers and peers.
Taking personal responsibility for development in line with business strategy.
Occasional requirement for travel to our London office.

Aviva uses “smart-working”, and the person in this role can be based in Worthing.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Proven record of delivering excellent customer outcomes.
Experience in building and encouraging positive internal and external relationships.
Good knowledge of IT including spreadsheets; databases and word processing.
Previous underwriting experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry is preferable but, again, not essential.
