Position Overview & Specifications

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Property Paralegal to join a rapidly growing legal firm. As a Commercial Property Paralegal, you will provide support to our commercial property lawyers by managing a wide range of tasks related to commercial real estate transactions. Your role will involve assisting with legal documentation, conducting research, and liaising with clients and other parties involved in the transaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the drafting, reviewing, and editing of legal documents, such as leases, purchase and sale agreements, and financing documents
  • Conduct due diligence and title searches on commercial properties
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of relevant documents with relevant authorities
  • Manage and maintain files and legal documents related to commercial property transactions
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, lenders, and other stakeholders involved in commercial property transactions
  • Coordinate and attend meetings, including taking minutes and following up on action items
  • Provide support with closing and post-closing matters, including preparing closing checklists, reviewing settlement statements, and preparing post-closing documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant legal issues related to commercial property transactions
  • Keep abreast of relevant legal and industry developments and updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in property transactions
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures related to commercial property transactions.
