Location : Cannock Wood Industrial Estate, Cannock Wood, Cannock, WS12 0PL

Hours : Full Time Permanent 38hrs per week - 08:00 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday . 0800 – 14.00 Friday,

A flexible approach to hours is required when workload dictates. 30 mins for lunch.

The Role

The key function of this role is to build a variety of transmissions for the car industry. Experience with tools, I.e. torque wrench, air wrench and various other tools is desirable, however full training will be given.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for the remanufacture of Transmissions/Clutches and /or Valve bodies to relevant specifications.

This could include rebuild, test or teardown of some components. Maintaining the cleanliness or orderliness of working and storage areas and materials used within their area of work. Entering all necessary data on the correct data sheets,. Ensuring the observance of secure working patterns and inform higher-level personnel about any suspicious or unsafe statuses within the business. Ability to learn the given task in the shortest period of time.

Essential knowledge and experience

The successful candidates should ideally;

Have experience working with assembly and all relevant tools power and hand tools

Able to follow basic build instructions, a fast learner

Good time keeper

Flexible, willing to learn new projects, all training will be given

Work overtime when required, with notice

A level of understanding of quality standards would be advantageous

Housekeeping, general cleanliness

Positive attitude

Be aware of and comply with relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures including keeping their working areas and the materials used clean and orderly

Complete and record a basic level of data on data sheets.
