As an Engineering Team Leader you’ll play a vital part in a close-knit team of experienced of Electricians, Technicians and Engineers who keep our buses running at their very best. A role with real responsibility and opportunity, not only to realise your full potential, but to help your team do the same.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is experienced in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy vehicles and now looking for the next step in their career – but without giving up the tools for good. Because, as a Team Leader at Arriva you’ll spend your time leading your team whilst still getting your hands on the tools, using your experience to mentor and help your team solve the complex problems. All whilst earning a salary of up to £38k a year and working rotating shifts.

Living and breathing engineering prowess, you'll be a role model for your team. Your previous experience in technical or people leadership will enable you to communicate effectively with your team and the wider business, delivering excellent results and performance at every opportunity. It goes without saying health and safety will be at the heart of everything you do, as will your dedication to caring for your team and maintaining the high standards that keep everyone safe and happy at work.

As part of your training, you’ll earn a fully accredited Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship, taking 12-months to complete. So, you’ll need to the desire and dedication to achieve this. (You will need to have Level 2 Maths and English, or equivalent, or be prepared to achieve this as part of the programme)

About you:

You’ll have a strong Engineering background with proven experience in maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy vehicle, equipment and/or machinery with a recognised qualification (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent).
