Arconic is currently in search of PCS Technician (Industrial IT Technician) to join our Kitts Green Team in Birmingham .

Primary Responsibilities

The role will be working in the process control department, primarily supporting the computer infrastructure for an industrial environment.

Windows Domain and Active Directory support.
Preparing servers and computers for use in an industrial environment. Includes configuring industrial software for use in SCADA / PLC environments.
Applying Windows patches and other security updates, whilst working around manufacturing production requirements.
Resolving issues with computers which have been deployed to systems in the factory.
Cisco network administration.
Microsoft SQL administration.
Management of software backups.
Keeping inventory records updated in SharePoint.
Creating and updating written procedures.

Whilst the core of the role will be infrastructure support, this is a developing role with opportunities to learn…

Development of Microsoft SharePoint, Power Flows, Power Apps and Power BI solutions.
Computer programming in .net and for industrial SCADA / PLC systems.
Microsoft SQL development.
Aveva OSI PI historian.
