Position Overview & Specifications
Anord Mardix are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to work at our Walton Summit Site in Preston.
Main Role and responsibilities
- Goods are accurately received and booked into the WMS alongside assigned staff
- Stock is accurately put away and recorded using the WMS
- Accurately pick stock using the WMS via various methods
- Ensure accurate kitting is carried out when delivering to the shop floor
- Make sure all documentation is completed properly and signed and dated
- Kitting delivery times should be met as per schedule issued by your Team Leader
- Carry out daily stock counts and record when completed on the company system of record
- Adhere to all product and quality procedures
- Ensure quality and hygiene standards are maintained to company and customer standards
- Ensure the company Health and Safety Policy is adhered to in the Warehouse for all activities to avoid accidents
- Make continuous efforts to improve the standard of warehouse housekeeping especially areas assigned to despatch to reach world class manufacturing standards
- Assist production as and when necessary, in providing materials when requested
- Ensure Adherence to all company policies, procedures and work instructions as appropriate
- Attend and undertake any relevant training courses and meetings by agreement during time off periods
- Suggest new and innovative ideas to your Team Leader which may improve performance
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to organise own workload and use initiative
- Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives
- High level of organisation
- Efficient with thorough methods of working
- Proficient at the use of Microsoft office
Training and Qualifications
- Counterbalance forklift (B1)
- Reach forklift (D1)
- Powered pallet ruck (Ride On)
- Stacker Pallet Truck
