Process Operator

We are AMS. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients’ recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.

Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.

At present we are looking for a number of Process Operator technicians to work on our client’s site in Inchinnan on an initial 12-month contract.

What You’ll Be Doing:

· Visually inspecting components to a visual standard

· Loading and unloading various process equipment

· Feeding back information to Manufacturing Engineer and team

· Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process.

· Work within strict HS&E guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment.

· Working as part of a team to deliver customer needs in a high volume, target driven environment to follow processes and procedures to a standard as already defined

Key Skills and experience required (E.G skilled or unskilled)

· Standard grade level 1,2 or 3, or equivalent, in English, Maths and a Technical/Science subject are essential.

· Ability to work a multi-shift pattern including nights (payment included in salary offering)

· An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.

· Experience of working in a Manufacturing Environment (ideally working in an operator role within in a volume manufacturing environment with experience of working with Nickel and Steel Alloys).

· Ability to read and interpret design drawings/manufacturing instructions would be desirable.

· We work within a cutting-edge manufacturing facility, so a basic IT knowledge is essential.
