CAD Draughtsman (Racking & Storage)

Alexander James Recruiting is working with a leading provider of warehouse racking, storage & shelving seeking a new office based CAD Draughtsman to create racking designs for the company’s clients around the West Midlands. With a competitive package and opportunity to progress long term, this is a great chance for a CAD Draughtsman seeking a design focused role.

Responsibilities

· Using state of the art software to design and create technical drawings and plans of racking and storage systems based requirements supplied by the sales team

· Editing designs and various stages of the process as the customer requires

· Providing accurate and detailed drawings which are to scale

· Checking the feasibility of the manufacture and construction of the product

· Ensuring that all drawings comply with the health and safety protocols set out by the industry

· Creating documentation for installation and manufacturing

Requirements

You will be a motivated CAD Draughtsman with proven experience in using autoCAD software to design and manufacture. The company would also consider a recently qualified Draughtsman however the salary would reflect this. Applicants must have the ability to read and create technical drawings and have knowledge of engineering principles. The company are looking for someone who buys into what they do and the variety of products they sell. The customer base they work with provides a great opportunity for an individual to come up with creative solutions. In terms of location, you will need to be based in the West Midlands since the role will be office based.
