Position Overview & Specifications
Title: Aircraft Component Technician
Based at: 22, Towerfield Road, Shoeburyness. Essex. SS3 9QE
Job Purpose: Cleaning duties of aircraft components (such as wheels and brakes) at industry-standard as well as aiding engineers with daily tasks.
Key responsibilities and accountability:
1. The cleaning and stripping aircraft wheels and brakes components to a high-level standard using chemicals and industry protocols.
2. Using specialised chemicals and equipment to clean each component, as well as inspecting the parts for problems, with good organisation and method.
3. Carry out maintenance work to a high standard on aircraft components.
4. To be able to visually and dimensionally inspect aircraft components for wear and damage and to determine whether parts of the aircraft component require replacement or can be refitted.
5. Reads and interprets records, reports, and technical manuals used to describe service.
6. The inspection and cleaning of aircraft parts, tools, and equipment using de-greasing solvents.
7. Aiding engineers within the company with disassembly and cleaning duties and other tasks.
8. Good written and comprehension skills to be able to fill out work sheets to record the maintenance carried out on aircraft components.
9. Work in a clean, tidy and logical manner.
10. Any other duties/jobs which management require of you.
Other Requirements:
· Must have a knowledge or is keen to learn of hazardous material/waste handling and disposal.
· Must be able to write and read, interpret written instructions, manuals, and directives and follow oral instructions.
· Good time management, reliability and ability to work independently.
· The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and keep to deadlines during busy periods.
Salary Expectations: Provided upon request.
Start Date: Immediate.
Work Schedule: Full time. Monday - Thursday: 7am to 4pm. Friday: 7am to 1pm.

Salary: £20,000.00-£27,000.00 per year

- Southend-On-Sea: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
