Position Overview & Specifications
African Movie Channel is a fast-paced organisation, and the Channels and Social Media Assistant will be required to support the Head Of Channels and Social Media Manager in the day-to-day running of our TV channels and social media channels respectively, while managing content and daily needs of the business.
This role is an exciting and varied opportunity and would suit a candidate with an interest in scheduling within the broadcast environment and television content management and acquisition.

· Experience in Microsoft Word & Excel

· Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects with tight deadlines

Job specifications/responsibilities
- Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for channels’ administration
- Assist in creating monthly programmes schedules and highlight for AMC Channels
- Updating and maintaining of content library and programme database
- Ensuring completed schedules & content are delivered to the Playout centre and platform partners
- Scheduling and maintaining promotions, commercials, and other interstitial items
- Maintaining and updating AMC official documents
- Assisting with movies and series content licensing and acquisition
- Quality analysis of content acquired
- Working closely with editors to ensure company quality compliance
- Assist with the day-to-day management of all social media channels, including scheduling engaging content on Sendible app
- Assist in the creation of press releases, relevant blog posts and social media campaigns
