Holiday Club Assistant

Active8 Minds® have a wealth of knowledge and experience at planning and executing the
delivery of sports and safe play in primary schools across Hampshire.
Quality and Consistency is assured through our developmental programme, consisting of
Lead PE specialists to apprentices. All, expertly guided by our very own staff development
officers.

Main duties include:

● Assist with the planning, preparing and delivering quality activities within a safe and caring environment.

● Ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.

● Administering first aid when necessary.

● Support the lead coach by setting up the activity space including moving furniture and

equipment.

● Providing support to all staff and volunteers associated with the club.

● Attend regular staff meetings in relation to the club.

● Assist the lead coach and manager with record keeping

● Developing and maintaining good communication with all members of the club, schools and

parents.

● Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.

● Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.

● Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures

Our commitment to you:
The successful applicant will be invited to an official on boarding process where by
Active8 Minds will pay for additional induction training as well as a complete DBS.
All successful applicants will be provided with uniform and sports equipment (If necessary)
The successful applicant will be provided with comprehensive training and delivery
resources to fully support their work at our holiday clubs
Staff will have the open use of our senior leadership team consisting of, the Welfare
Officer, our Scheduling and Compliance Officer and our 2 staff development officers.

Your commitment to us:
The successful applicant will need to ensure they complete all training provided by
Active8 Minds.
The successful applicant will need to commit to at least 3 weeks full work.
The successful applicant will need to apply their own expertise and knowledge from the
Active8 Minds training to ensure children have fun at our Holiday Clubs
Summer Work Schedule:
You will work full days anywhere between 7:45am – 17:15pm (8 Hour shifts)

Weeks Available: (All shifts are Monday to Friday)
