We’re currently hiring for a full-time Goods in Checker at our Birmingham depot. You will be working as part of a key team within the depot, where you will take ownership to ensure the process of accepting deliveries is effective and efficient. This role is responsible for the movement of goods through the department and will ensure an effective and efficient service is provided by the goods-in team. The ideal candidate will have a forklift truck licence, however full training will be provided.
What will you be doing as a Goods in Checker?
· Receiving, moving, checking, and storing incoming goods
· Matching up deliveries from the goods received note to the relevant purchase order
· Proactively liaising with the shop floor supervisors to ensure space for deliveries
· Report any discrepancies
· Prepare and complete orders for transfer or delivery
· Keep a clean and safe working environment
To be a Goods in Checker, you should be:
· Able to work in a high-volume role
· Highly accurate and have excellent attention to detail in your work
· Able to work well in a team
· Able to work quickly and to deadlines
What’s on offer?
- Rate of pay: £10.72 to £10.96 per hour (age dependent)
- 40 hours per week rota, Monday - Friday 06:00 - 15:00
