Our Scunthorpe site, which is the largest 2 Sisters Food Group Poultry site, is looking to hire a Management Accountant due to an internal promotion. The Scunthorpe site is the most successful in providing people for more Senior or Group positions in the business. The manager, Finance Controller, provides an excellent environment to allow you to grow & succeed and is heavily invested in your progression and success.

UK Poultry represents more than half of 2 Sisters’ business by sales. The division employs over 9,000 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to UK consumers via major retailers.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to an internal promotion, our Scunthorpe site is looking to hire a Management Accountant. As a Management Accountant you’ll be responsible for providing timely, accurate and meaningful finance information to the business.

This role offers fantastic exposure to a fast-paced environment where you will be supported and provided with opportunities to develop your career. Previous holders of this position have moved into more Senior or different Group opportunities within the business.

You’ll also be responsible for:

• To provide timely, accurate and meaningful finance information to the business (site and centre).
• To produce Daily KPIs, weekly accounts with commentary, weekly flash reporting, weekly site packs, move to gross margin analysis by customer and SKU
• To provide Capex tracking and analysis
• Support the month end process from start to finish
• Support the Financial Controller in maintaining and enhancing the control environment
• Support in the accurate and timely delivery of product costing querieswhen required
• Support any other ad-hoc queries that require financial input

• Fully or Part qualified Accountant
• Experience in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment, preferably food.
• Reacts well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicates clearly and simply. Confident in challenging people.
• Self-organised, self-motivated, action oriented and efficient.
• Experience of process improvements. Pro-active, takes initiative, actively seeks out improvement opportunities without being asked.
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills and is able to balance the need for analysis and rigour with speed of action when solving problems.
