Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Content Writer with experience in an e-commerce subscription-based industry to join our growing Corporate Services Group. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will write compelling long and short-form articles on a variety of finance, tax and company law-related topics, for our Group’s five websites and newsletters, as well as outreach content to be published on partner blogs.

The successful candidate will be ambitious and willing to learn our industry to a highly technical level, before using this knowledge to assist in the production of exceptional and technically correct content for the small business community across an array of mediums, including blogs, newsletters and outreach content, in line with our deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Quickly develop specialist knowledge of our industry via our learning materials
  • Research and write one article per day (1,200 to 1,500 words) for use on our blogs, newsletters or as outreach content.
  • Write exceptional long-form and short-form articles for blogs, newsletters and outreach content, on a variety of topics, including finance, tax and company law, to keep the small business community well-informed.
  • Work with a team of content writers and other creatives to create impactful and on-trend content for the small business community for the Group’s five websites
  • Help with conceptual work when required, including campaign ideas, creative direction, topic ideas, etc.

Requirements

  • Proven content writing experience in an e-commerce environment, preferably in a subscription-based business
  • Experience of writing long-form content relating to finance and tax is desirable but not essential
  • Significant experience in a content writing role
  • Ambitious, with a willingness to complete work within deadlines
  • Impeccable written English language skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience of using WordPress is desirable but not essential
  • Bachelor’s degree (relevant marketing / publishing / literature qualification preferred)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible start time between 08:30 and 09:30 each day

Working Location: Office based, 5 days per week.
